Esperanto
was invented in 1887 by Ludwig Lazarus Zamenhof as
an international language. It is the most used of all ALs. It
has a large body of literature in translation, including the Bible and
the Quran. Despite applications to the United Nations, it still does
not have recognition as an international language.
